Erica Bast, DVM

Dr. Bast is originally from O’Fallon, Missouri, growing up in a cat only household. Her love of horses developed in high school after volunteering at Therapeutic Horsemanship. She is a proud graduate of the University of Missouri, earning her Bachelor of Science in Animal Science, Master of Public Health, and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degrees all from Mizzou. After a rotating equine internship at Brazos Valley Equine Hospital, she moved to Columbia to join Equine Medical Services. Dr. Bast enjoys all aspects of equine medicine, but is particularly interested in general wellness, emergency triage, and internal medicine. When she is not working, Dr. Bast enjoys hunting, reading, and watching the Food Network.
